 ABOUT REESA

Hello and welcome!   I am passionate about the field of speech-language pathology and enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge with the children and families I work with every day. Over the past 22 years, I have been fortunate to gather experience in many areas, including Early Intervention (age 0-3);  PK-6 public schools; PK- age 21 private special education schools; and home, daycare, and clinic-based private speech-language therapy for all ages.  I have extensive experience working with children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Autism.

I am skilled at working with students utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools and students with sensory, motor, and behaviorally-based feeding disorders.  I also work closely with occupational therapists and incorporate a variety of sensory-based strategies during my sessions with students.  I have been running social skills groups for children aged 3-21 since 2020.  I pride myself on being a neurodivergent affirming therapist.

So much of learning begins with a secure base, and I am proud of the fact that people describe me as a caring, well-trained therapist. Book a free consultation call with me by clicking on the link below.

Words of Thanks

We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for Audrey. With your patience and dedication, you took her from being a child who was almost impossible to understand, to a kindergartener whose teacher didn’t even realize she had any speech issue.

My daughter had seen two different speech therapists before Reesa. Immediately I could tell the difference in how Reesa approached working with her! It was night and day. She involved me directly in the process, taught ME how to help my daughter practice, and we so wonderful with her that my daughter LOOKED FORWARD to her speech class every week. And Reesa didn't hesitate to tell me she thought my daughter was ready to keep practicing on her own without additional classes. Reesa is an absolute gem. My daughter is actually sad she won't get to "play" with Reesa every week! Thank you, Reesa!

Reesa has helped our son learn to talk! When she started working with him, he could only say a handful of words and now he has dozens (including “mama!”). Our son has learned the importance of expressing himself through speech and really enjoys working with Reesa, as do I.
